JEFFREY S. PETERS, CPA, CGFM
Jeff Peters is the shareholder in charge of the Le Mars, Iowa office of Williams & Company, P.C. He is also the shareholder in charge of firm-wide quality control. He joined the firm in 1983 as a staff accountant in the Sioux City office, moved to Le Mars in 1985 and progressed to shareholder in 1999.
Jeff is a 1983 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1984 and a Certified Government Finance Manager (CGFM) in 1999. He currently provides services to a wide range of clientele. The types of industries served include manufacturing, retail, restaurants, agriculture and governmental and non-profits. Jeff also leads the government services practice for the firm.
Professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Government Finance Officers Association, where he served as a reviewer in the GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program and the Association of Government Accountants.
Jeff’s community involvement has included serving on the Board of Directors of the Le Mars Little League, where he also served as umpire and coach, the Le Mars Community Enhancement Foundation, the Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce, the Le Mars Development Corporation, the Le Mars Business Initiative Corporation, and the Presbyterian United Church of Christ. He has served as President of the Community Enhancement Foundation, the Chamber of Commerce, the Le Mars Development Corporation and the Le Mars Business Initiative Corporation. He is currently a member of the Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.
JANE L. SCHEITLER, CPA
Jane is a manager with Williams & Company, CPA, P.C. and has been with the firm since June, 1993. She is responsible for the supervision of audit teams primarily in the governmental and not-for-profit areas. Jane also has significant experience auditing municipal governments, county governments, and school districts in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.
Jane graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1993 and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants, and currently holds active permits to practice in Iowa and South Dakota.
GRAHAM A. FORBES, CPA
Graham is a Manager in the LeMars, Iowa office of Williams & Company, P.C. He joined the firm in 2002 and was promoted to Manager in January 2007. Graham’s responsibilities include governmental and non-profit audits; income tax preparation for farmers, corporations, and individuals; and preparation of compiled and reviewed financial statements.
Graham is a graduate of Buena Vista University, earning his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Accounting in 2002.
Professional affiliations include the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Graham is licensed in both Iowa and South Dakota. Graham is currently the President Elect and Treasurer of the LeMars Area Chamber of Commerce and the Treasurer of the LeMars Business Initiative Corporation.
MATTHEW J. DANIELS, LPA
Matt is a Manager in the LeMars, Iowa office of Williams & Company, P.C. He joined the firm November 2004, and was promoted to Manager in November 2007. Matt is a Licensed Public Accountant, Enrolled Agent, Series 6 and 63, licensed for insurance and investments. Matt’s current responsibilities include accounting, tax preparation, QuickBooks consulting and financial planning.
Matt is a graduate of Mount Mercy College, earning his Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Business Administration.
Professional affiliations include Accountants Association of Iowa, Iowa Association of Licensed Public Accountants. Community affiliations include St. James Catholic Church, and the LeMars Little League. Matt is also a past President of LeMars Sertoma Club.
